The Butterfly Effect

Can you make a difference? I hope so!! I’ve always believed in helping and know that we truly never realize the effects. For those who are avid followers you may remember that I posted several months ago for people to nominate their hero. I was hoping that by reading stories of heroism it would motivate others to be a positive influence. To live on purpose with purpose. I wanted to give a free session to a family who lives this way. Wow did we receive some amazing stories!!

the family that earned the free session was nominated by multiple people. Her name is Lisa and she has touched many lives! Here are a few words from those who nominated her and her family:

“Lisa is one of the most amazing people I have ever known. On top of being a critical care nurse in a local ICU and a Mom, Lisa always goes above and beyond to help others. If Lisa hears that someone has a need for say clothes she will start asking and collecting to help that person out. She has blessed my family abunduntly with strollers, bassinets, etc. when I needed them desperately. Lisa also runs the nursery at church as well as a Hospice care ministry. Lisa’s heart is the hospice care, she prepares gift baskets with snacks and water, etc. to leave withthe families there during such a hard time, she speaks words of encouragment to the familes, prays with them and heas even sung for patients when requested. I truly can not say enough about the giving and caring heart that Lisa has and I count myself blessed to call her friend.”

“She watched my girls in the mornings before school for me for FREE when I was subbing, I wouldn’t have been able to work many days without her help. She’s such a giver.”

“SO many reasons why Lisa & Kieth deserved the session! When you see the family together, the first thing you see is LOVE! That family knows how to have fun, and love each other better than anyone I know! Their girls are always laughing and smiling! Lisa has one of the best personalities a woman could have! I look up to her because she is a God fearing woman and clothed with beauty because of it! I adore the Belcher family! Kieth and Lisa are hard workers; Lisa receiving promotions at work and Kieth was awarded the medal of honor! Their girls are so intelligent, Lisa works with them every day and it shows!”

Within the first 10 seconds of meeting the family for their session I knew it was going to be great. I could feel the “LOVE” in this family and all I needed to do is click the shutter to capture it. Yes, one member was less than thrilled there was a camera involved, but once she realized I wasn’t there to order her around she was cool!:)

Lisa, I am so happy you won this session and so blessed to have been the one to capture your family. From what your friends have told me, you would have never had family photos done otherwise because you are too busy taking care of your family and others!! Well, now THAT is why you needed this! Givers never like receiving. Thank you for receiving so graciously and allowing me to be a part of your life. And thank you for being an inspiration to others. We may never realize the full Butterfly Effect of what we give.

So with that, I introduce to you the “heros” as proclaimed by many.
